Less than a week after the Big Black Out that affected New York, Ohio, Michigan and parts of Canada there were a set of lightning storms in the area. Several people were without power. For nearly a week power lines were down. Just when you think it’s over, here comes Isabel!
The power companies are working 12-16 hour shifts to make sure no one is without power for too long. To ensure this, contractors from Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and other unaffected nearby states are here cleaning up the mess.
Is it me or are men with big… long … thick, heavy trucks sexy? I have never seen so much heavy equipment in one area and well I’m excited!
What amazed me about this storm is that the metro closed. I have never seen that happen. For those of you not familiar with the area, if the metro isn’t running, you might as well close up shop and go home which may explain why the federal government shutdown. Never have I seen the Capitol boarded up or any of the monuments. The only thing that didn’t shutdown was the watch over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
So the entire area was under a state of emergency and no one was allowed to leave his or her home that means there was a whole lot of screwing going on.
Mother Nature is a pimp of sorts. Every once and again she finds a way to make certain we get plenty of nookie.
